Vita Koffie is a direct line between Congolese coffee farmers and coffee lovers in the E.U. We pay a fair price to farmers. Our coffee beans are grown in The Congo and roasted in Nijmegen and Apeldoorn.

Vita Koffie gives Congolese coffee farmers the opportunity to sell their coffee at a fair price.  Our concept goes beyond a mere ‘fair trade’ coffee business because 75% of our profits are invested in the education of Congolese women who are among the most affected by war in the Congo.  Vita Coffee enables women in The Congo to set up their own small agricultural businesses and afford a  living income. By buying our coffee, you are helping to make a permanent change for coffee farmers and women in The Congo.

    The coffee beans are bought directly from Congolese coffee farmers who we know personally. The fields are in the highlands in the province of Kivu, Kivu is known for having a very fertile land. This gives our coffee a delicious taste.

Where do we buy our coffee beans?

We buy our fair and ecological grown coffee beans from the following cooperations:

  1. CPNCK. Location: Idjwi Island2.
  2. CUPEVI: Location: Butembo
  3. MAISON KAVUSA MATSUVA: Butembo

 

Our world’s best-tasting Arabica coffee beans are sourced directly from local and trusted Congolese coffee farmers.  Thanks to importers who share our business philosophy, together, we are able to import quality products from the Congo independently without any middle man. In this way, the coffee farmers can extend their profits, and they can improve their living conditions. Our delicious coffee beans are grown in the fertile highlands of the Lake Kivu region.
